Adobe Illustrator is a powerful and versatile tool for creating illustrations, logos, and vector graphics for print and Web use.
Illustrator produces vector Vector artwork is created using paths ( lines and curves). It keeps its proportion and quality when sized up or down and is resolution independent. artwork unlike Photoshop which produces raster Raster images are made up of pixels (squares) of individual colour. They are resolution dependent and can be sized down but not sized up. (bitmap) images.
Use Adobe Illustrator for:
- business cards
Don’t use Illustrator for:
- Image editing
- Documents of more than a couple of pages
- Collage, advertisements or other material containing photographs
